Staff Spotlight
Community Energy Project is proud to provide a variety of direct, in-homes services and educational workshops, and participate in important advocacy work. Behind all of these vital efforts is a team of vibrant, multifaceted, and hardworking individuals. We are excited to introduce the CEP Staff Spotlight, a series dedicated to the people who make everything we do possible. Today’s spotlight shines on CEP’s Communications and Development Coordinator, Jenna Jarvis.

1. Describe your role at CEP and what makes you passionate about your position.
As the Communications and Development Coordinator, I am responsible for CEP’s fundraising efforts, digital communications, social media, and community relations. Each part of my role feels like a puzzle piece and it’s my job to figure out how they all fit together to best share the incredible impact of CEP’s services. Working at CEP is a breath of fresh air. I am inspired by the work we do, the people we serve, and the difference we’re making in both the community and the environment. I enjoy discovering new ways to contribute to furthering CEP’s mission.
2. What is your work background and one unique skill you bring to CEP?
My previous work was in digital communications and public relations for tech companies and Oregon State University. I have experience with marketing and helping people tell their stories. My unique skill is finding impactful ways to share information about the services, resources, and help that CEP offers.
3. Describe one accomplishment you’ve made at CEP or a goal you have for the future in this role.
I recently planned and executed our annual Spring Fundraiser where we raised over $25,000! This event was a fantastic success and an incredible example of what our community can accomplish when we come together. I’m excited for future fundraising opportunities and am looking forward to organizing events that are even bigger and better.
4. If you had to pick one meal to eat for the rest of your life, what would it be? At the moment, I would pick birria tacos from Papi Chulo’s.
