DIY Cooling Workshop

This workshop will have 30 minutes of information on keeping your home cool without AC, followed by time for Q&A an optional 10-minute portion. Workshop available to all, free kit of materials available to PGE and Pacific Power customers in the Portland OR Metropolitan Area.

The DIY Cooling workshop is the summer version of our flagship DIY Weatherization workshop. This workshop teaches low-cost cooling and energy saving techniques for renters and homeowners alike. Learn how to save water and energy, cool your home without using air conditioning, and prevent heat related illness. Qualified participants will receive a free kit of materials to lower energy costs and stay cooler in their home during warmer months.

During this time, our programs are adapted to be COVID- friendly. This will be an online, live-stream presentation where participants can get their questions answered from the safety of their own homes. No-contact pickup in a central Portland, OR or delivery (within Multnomah County) of materials kits will be organized for participants, following the presentation.

El taller de enfriamiento de bricolaje es la versión de verano de nuestro taller insignia de climatización de bricolaje. Este taller enseña técnicas de ahorro de energía y refrigeración de bajo costo para inquilinos y propietarios de viviendas por igual. Aprenda cómo ahorrar agua y energía, enfriar su hogar sin usar aire acondicionado y prevenir enfermedades relacionadas con el calor. Los participantes calificados recibirán un kit gratuito de materiales para reducir los costos de energía y mantenerse más frescos en su hogar durante los meses más cálidos.
